Slowing Down

Totally agree with Colin on this one. I realized a few months ago that I was starting 3x as many projects than I was finishing. I also noticed that when with my son, if he got quiet and was playing and didn’t need my attention, my first reaction was to grab my phone.

Since then I’ve created a list of projects to get to, but only after I’ve finished other ones. It’s a reward system of sorts. I can’t start this new thing until I’ve wrapped this other one up. It’s helped me focus. I’ve also gotten better at silencing the phone and being more in the moment when I can. It’s been a positive transition.

Slow down. Focus.

I’ve found myself wanting to be more present than ever in my life. Glad you’re finding ways to do that yourself.
